How to report a scam on TrustDB, and what evidence to keep
A good report gives staff everything they need to check it without coming back to you. Here is what to gather, how to file it, and what happens next.
Reporting is free, and you do not need Discord. You can file on the website or in the Discord server, and it is the same ticket either way.
What happens after you report
- You get a ticket ID and a private status page where you can follow progress and reply to staff.
- Staff aim to give a first response within 24 hours. The decision target for a standard report is 72 hours, and complex cases can take longer.
- Staff check the evidence and ask for more if needed. Two different staff must sign off before anything is published.
- Before a High Risk or Severe Risk record goes public, the reported person has 48 hours to answer the evidence.
- TrustDB never publishes who reported a case.
- Reports that don't hold up can be dismissed. Fabricated or altered evidence gets you listed instead.
Do and don't
The short version. Skim this first.
Do
- Keep full, uncropped chats or an export with dates visible.
- Keep payment proof with a transaction ID or hash.
- Keep proof of what was agreed and what went wrong, and write it in a few plain sentences.
- Identify the target exactly: Discord ID, Telegram or Instagram @username, server ID, wallet address, TrustID or game username.
- Pick the right category (Discord deal, marketplace, clipping, phishing or account theft, crypto, game server dispute) and the game.
- Copy wallet addresses instead of retyping them.
- Answer staff questions in the ticket thread.
Don't
- Don't crop, edit or alter evidence. Fabricated or altered evidence gets you listed instead.
- Don't send passwords, tokens, 2FA codes, real names or ID documents.
- Don't report personal disputes, insults, rumours or "they blocked me". Those are dismissed, as are quality or taste disputes on delivered work and refunds refused under clear seller terms you agreed to.
- Don't pay anyone to "speed up" or "win" a report.
- Don't harass the person or post their private details while the report is open.
- Don't file the same report again and again. Follow the ticket instead.
If it already happened: report it in five steps
- Save the evidence: chats, payment proof and what was agreed. Do it before they delete messages or change their name.
- Open the report form on the site, or use the report options in the TrustDB Discord server.
- Choose the category and game, and enter the target's ID, @username, server ID or wallet address.
- Write what was agreed and what went wrong, and attach the evidence.
- Follow the ticket on your status page and reply to staff when they ask for more.
Where to go next

Questions
- Yes. Lookups, reports and appeals cost nothing.
- No. You can report on the website and follow your ticket on a private status page. Staff work the same ticket in Discord, so it is one thread whichever way you come in.
- You can appeal. Staff who were not on the original case decide it. Appeal within 30 days of being notified or of the record going live. A wrong-person appeal can be raised at any time. See Appeals.
