Who decides, and how.
TrustDB records affect real people, so the process matters as much as the evidence. Here's who reviews cases, the rules they follow and what happens when someone gets it wrong.
staff sign off on every record
to decide a complete appeal
payments accepted, ever
minimum age for staff
The rules staff work under.
They apply to every case, every reporter and every person on record, including our own staff and partners.
Two sign-offs, every time
A record needs two different staff to check the evidence before it goes public. One person's word never lists anyone.
No conflicts of interest
A staff member with any link to a case hands it to someone else before reading further.
A right of reply
Before a High Risk or Severe Risk record goes public, the reported person is contacted privately and can answer the evidence.
Appeals go to someone new
Whoever worked the original case can't decide its appeal. The filer gets a chance to respond first.
Locked-down accounts
Every staff account is at least a year old with 2FA on.
Money never changes a record
We don't take payment, gifts or favours to add, remove or soften a record. Offering one ends the case.
Staff answer for their work
Report staff conduct through a support ticket. Management reviews it, and affected cases get a fresh look.
The team.
We don't publish staff names, so nobody gets pressured over a case. Roles are visible in our Discord server.
Case reviewer
Checks evidence and builds case files. Never publishes alone.
Moderator
Second-reviews cases and keeps the server clean.
Support
Answers tickets and helps members on the web and in Discord.
Management
Handles appeals escalations, partner approvals and staff conduct.
